At this year’s Madison Annual Exhibition – the largest UK cycle and action sports distributor – Mark was asked to talk about the importance of Visual Merchandising and Promotion to increase sales and profit.
Over 3 days, presenting from a model shop set up within the Milton Keynes Exhibition Centre, he spoke passionately around increasing sales per square foot.
He gave practical guidance and advice on improved retail techniques around shop presentation to make the customer experience special and memorable. He also spoke about the importance of a promotional calendar of deals to entice customers back to the shop week after week to drive sales up whilst still achieving a very healthy margin.
